I'll watch some 13U baseball in the morning then the CWS in the afternoon and evening. Not sure what will be on the grill yet, but another ribeye is always great. Wife imported some more Yuengling to Nebraska so I got that going for me...

The universe seems to be telling me to pull the ribeyes out of the freezer. Who am I to argue with the universe.

My first radiation treatment is Friday, second is Monday. I have to watch my diet to some degree within a day or 2 of treatments to avoid anything that may make me gassy. That pretty much eliminates anything I normally eat,
lol, so no plans, really.
Alright, you get the booby prize for worst weekend. Good luck!
Been to busy.... is father's day weekend this weekend? Too much going on around here lately... pouring cement today my back went out and dropped me to my knees. Wife is leaving tomorrow to visit and help with our granddaughter... our first! So no plans here.

Ryan
Boy, I can relate to that. Hope you have some good drugs for that.
No plans other than a text from our son and daughter. I'll be watching the college baseball world series for sure, though. My dad passed a few years ago so really nothing to do except watch a few games, maybe grill a couple of rib eyes if the wife wants and knock back a few beers. Maybe break out the moonshine and sip a bit.
Fortunately that our daughters family is here in the same neighborhood, so I’m sure will have a kid/grandkids visit.
My wife is leaving me Thursday.
I could leave it there for the drama, but She is catching a ride 70 miles down the road to spend a few days with our daughter (including wife's birthday on Friday). I get Thursday and Friday nights and all day Saturday to myself. That is a perfect Father's Day for me.
I drive down on Sunday to collect my wife and shop at Costco.
Exciting life ....
Sometimes less exciting is perfect.
Having everybody over for burgers and hotdogs. Celebrating Fathers day and 2 birthdays about 30 people, should be an eventful day
There’s a guy doing it up!

Father’s Day is an odd one for me. My father is deceased and my kids normally spend the day with their bio father…who is quite douchey. So, might go to the local rodeo with my wife if the weather is decent.

No idea, still in the FL keys till Tomorrow eve. My father passed away this past January after 91 years so be weird not making that phone call. After eating out 3X/day for the last week, I really just want to sit in the pool and drink (as if I have not done enough down here). Maybe grill

I'm single, no kids....I'll be working on my boat this weekend...
I'm married with no kids, so I'll be going to hang out with my little bro and his family along with my nephews and their families, and my parents.
I always make ribs and T.T. for my Dad, not sure what else I'll be smoking.
T.T. is on sale for $4.00 a pound, so I'll load up on them for grinding and grilling.
I missed the big sale a few weeks ago $3.49 P.P. for untrimmed T.T. They had some whoppers too, that had to be 4-6 lbs.

Just got word today I'm NOT working Sunday now. I'm used to working for the boss (my cousin) so he can hang out with his daughter. She is of age now where she's too good for somethings (aka teenager) so he's giving me the day off. No clue what I'll do.

When are they going to make bonus parents day? I mean bonus parents do just as much as "mom or dad". Sounds like a good idea to me. Then again i an a few beers in.

Really interesting reading all.

Having a back procedure Thursday, so gonna be a chill day here.
Undecided what to whip up to enjoy during the US Open.
What are your plans?
How'd that procedure go? Looking forward to the Open myself, but will only be able to watch the last of the final round.

Wife and I will be taking my dad out for a father's day dinner tomorrow (Saturday) so he can be freed up for church Sunday. Wife's dad is long dead. We only assumed dad would be going to church. He and mom have gone both day and night on Sundays, evenings on Wednesdays and evenings Thursdays for bible study for many years.

Problem is mom died 30 days ago. 4 weeks to the day, tomorrow, will be when we had the hospital remove life support. We consider her death two days prior. Massive stroke and brain aneurysm. Yea, it sucks, but is exactly what she said she wanted...here today, with the Lord tomorrow and no long drawn out drama. That was her gift. Dad is a mess though...it wasn't supposed to happen that way. I have some inherent ability to stay strong in a crisis, so I'm doing much better than him.

He just got back from Florida yesterday after settling things with her body, legal stuff, etc.. Wife and I were down in Florida helping for a week after mom died. They lived in a log cabin on a piece of my property next door the 6 months of the year they weren't snow-birding to N Ft Meyers to their condo.

Dad came back to that lonely cabin a little after noon yesterday. We had him over for a grilled pork loin last night. Tomorrow we'll eat out somewhere of his choice and there will be a glass of wine or a cocktail at the table where mom would have been that the three of us will all take a drink from in her honor. That empty 4th chair really ticks me off, but it's killing dad.

For me, I'll be breaking down, splitting and hauling firewood from my neighbor's property to mine on Sunday. I dont do holidays usually (except I HAVE to do Christmas and Thanksgiving), especially fathers day and my birthday. I dont believe in celebrating myself. But I WILL drink...as usual...and hopefully watch the end of the U.S. Open before eating leftovers (good leftovers though!). Probably get a call from one of two of my kids. In my case I am the bio-dad, left behind years ago. But, even after this long sad screed, my life is still blessed, believe it or not :emoji_laughing:

A tough month, sounds like doing the best you can. And I always remind myself there are billions of people that would trade places with us in a heartbeat.

Agreed! I mean, Ive been with their mom for more than half their lives now.

What ever...Let Them do as they do. I will do the same. Bothered me more years ago, moved on now.
