I need 3 prime briskets and 4?boston butts. Where is the best place to get them??

Not sure if you have Costco around there but they are usually best for prime briskets. I usually find butts cheaper on sale at local grocery stores

Yep, Costco or Sam's club for the brisket and look in your local ads for a good sale on the pork.

thirds for costco on the briskets - they have primes for a great deal. costco only has swift pork butts in my parts and they are HUGE. but I am not a fan of these...I usually hit the butcher for my pork as its of high quality and not that much more. but maybe I am weird about the pork thing

Looks like you have a Gordon's Food Service near you. I get my brisket, ribs, and shoulders from them.

There's two boneless butts in the vacuum pak, not one, which makes the 17 lb weight two 8.5 lb butts, normal sized. I can't remember if Swift butts are injected or not, but I believe not. I use the Costco butts for curing buckboard bacon.

Well that changes things! I kept looking at them think holy s**t man thats big. kinda funny now... thanks for the info! I may try them.

I have found that the Swift shoulders and ribs are of fine quality.
