End of vacation pizza

We were on vacation for 10 days and missin the pizza oven big time so Mrs Scar and I decided to make up a couple of pizzas and crack open a good bottle of Cabernet to finish off the vacation 

Fired up the oven and prepped a couple of fresh dough rounds then topped them and into the 750* oven


About 3 minutes later they looked like this 

Arugula and prosciutto and parmesan 


And a Pepperoni - onion tomato 


Plated with a nice Raymond Burr Cab Franc

That is why Mrs Scar and I went on diets on Monday. That crust is wheat to help with that too

Awesome Job!  Looks droolicious!  My dad built a wood fired oven for his 1849 San Fran sourdough, Parisian french bread, and pizza's (yes, he has authentic mothers for both....been maintaining them for many years).  800 plus degrees makes for the best crust....AND PIZZA!

My neighbor has a pizza oven and never uses it. Going to have to call him this weekend and convince him to fire it up.

We have one for bread that we have used for dough and is pretty darn good.
