Dried previously wet Pellets; creating white smoke...

I had a bag of pecan pellets outside under the carport. When warm smoking in my propane smokehouse, I use a cast iron pan for the pellets and I'm not concerned about super dry pellets.

But, I'm making a run of BBB and it will hit the smokehouse next week so I'm doing a trial run with the new oval tube from Amazin....I dried the pellets in the microwave, took 7 minutes @ 2 minute intervals to get them dry. Some are about to crumble apart. I filled the tube and lit it. Making a lot of white smoke. IS this the reason? Will fresh pellets help? I have it near an intake vent so it is getting fresh air. No propane, just the tube lit. Top temp. is running 86* ambient temp is 63*.....

The oval tube definitely puts out enough smoke. I will only need one tube, thought I might need two since my smokehouse is 36cu.ft.

I don't think white smoke is any thing to be concerned about, black smoke yes ,your pellets will burn easier when microwaved,does the smoke smell good? any moisture in the air will get a dose of smoke and may show up better imo.

If you like white smoke and it works for you, fine. I don't. White smoke is the main reason people think they over smoke meat....too much and it will get bitter.
Yes, I microwaved the pellets for 6 minutes (2 minute intervals, then stir).
No, the smoke was bitter. I can tell when the smoke is right just by smelling it.
It is foggy this morning and threatening rain, which can make TBS smoke appear white, but I can tell just by smelling it it's not TBS.

I have a trial run going now in the oval tube with Dave's pellet dust and it is putting out awesome TBS. We'll see how long it'll last.
