Do you use foil to "finish" your meat?

Do you use foil at the end of a smoke?

I always foil butts and chuckies but recently stopped foiling ribs.

Never have, but if it works for you then go for it. Nothing wrong with cooking how you like it!

I agree with Tip on the butts and briskets, though I have recently stopped foiling ribs and like how they come out.

Do whatever it takes to please your family and friends. The end results are what counts...

I've done both, it seems if you foil a pork butt at around 160, it doesn't have much for bark on it, maybe I'm doing something wrong, the butt that I didn't foil really looked good (nice bark), and the one I did foil (160) didn't have the bark but tasted very good also, is it just a preference to foil or does it help??
