Do you still go to your State or County fair?

Ours has really gone down hill, they hardly have any stock animals, and I don't think they auction them off anymore anyways. They took away our horse racing, and added a day or two of monstertrucks, which I missed this yr. I don't think I'll ever go back as long as we are still here, it's just not the same these days.

How about your State Fairs?

I will go to the fairgrounds, for the GoodGuys car show , until I find the right muscle car. Besides that there is no reson to go, except for the over priced corndogs. Which are a favorite of mine.

I wish I could make them as good as they do.

What keeps you going to your State Fair?

We do, but we're vendors. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't. The Wisconsin State Fair has really gone downhill and mostly become a place for teens to gather and fight. It's sad what it has become. Now that we're in Texas, we'll be doing that one starting next year, hoping it's better.

Nope.

Our big one the Washington County fair is just around the corner. These days it just attracts a lot of stupid people who like to do stupid things.

I cant even remember the last time I went to one. Maybe when I was a child?

They seem kinda cheesed up these days from what I have seen on social media.

Only went to the state fair 2 - 3 times in my 20's. Always went to a nearby county fair when very young with my parents. Haven't been to either in over 40 years.

I don't do our state fair but I do do our local fair because they have a BBQ Comp. which I participate in... Otherwise I wouldn't go to it ether...

I haven't been to the State fair in many years, and it's only 50 miles away. That said, I found out in July that our County fair has several categories for BBQ and grilled meats. You cook at home, then deliver for a 5:00 turn-in time in a styrofoam box. They judge just like pickles or apple pie, then award ribbons. I might try that out next year.

I actually meant the county fair. LOL!!!

I've never been to our State fair, it's way ghetto, people get shot there almost every yr....nope not happening, even with my buddy Sig by my side.

I love the 1/4 mile dirt track racing, at our fair, I missed that as well this yr.

We have a 1/4 dirt track right over the hill from us, that I go to whenever the winged sprint cars are there. I love watching those guy's and gal's run those tracks, it looks like it would be a blast.

Saturday night racing, ice cold beer, hotdogs and trailer trash, it don't get any better on a hot summer night.

I watch Kyle Larson grow up racing on our local dirt tracks when he was just a kid. Damn, that kid sure was talented!!!!

I screwed up my original post shouldv'e said county fair, I added it with an edit. That sounds like a good time, that's how they do our local bar rib contest. I've won it two times so I'm out, but I get to judge next yr.
