I am new to smoking. I have knowledge of carpentry, tools, materials. I have seen many people posting their projects with really awesome pics- but I am hoping to find someone that has exact plans with measurements that I can follow. Anyone aware of someone with plans like this? I would use an electric element for heat. I live in SW PA, so I would be insulating it, I assume.

Thank you. That one takes a fridge unit and converts it to a great smoker. I rather want plans for a wood constructed smoker, that includes design and measurements.

You may want to get a copy of this book. It will answer all your questions and save you lots of headaches.

I have heard of that book. I'll try to find a copy. I imagine there must be someone on the forum that made a hot smoker that kept records of their design, including measurements.

Thanks. I am trying to learn as much as possible before building. I assumed someone would have a design I could copy.

Is it ok to use plywood for the interior of a Hot Smoker?

I wouldn't. Who knows what kind of fumes and out gassing you will get with a plywood.

If you are using wood, I would go with hardwood boards. Possibly tongue and groove boards.

Above link has several basic smoke house examples. Select smoke houses from drop down menu. From the author of the book JC referenced.
