I wanted to post, hoping for any advice, direction, tips, suggestions and in a perfect world any specific build design idea's.
First, I wish share a little Bio info for insight into my specific situation.
I am 56 and grew up in Alabama and have been around and smoked meats, mostly only on various commercial smokers in the U.S. for over 30 year's nothing professional. I am prior service.
I mention all that as I now live in the Philippines. Smoking meat American style is non existent here, although, it's beginning to catch on and some commercial smoker builds are available in Luzon. I however live in the central Philippines (Guimaras) I will add anything of metal here won't last long.
The U.S. dollar exchanges for $1 U.S. dollar to 58 Philippines Pesos and a day's pay averages about $8 dollars a day. Now i shared that to say, i can afford to build something. I believe brick, rock or cement would be best here.
All that arrives me at I have absolutely no idea, what the ideal or best size and dimensions would work best for a custom build. I can have it done, if I have enough detailed information from which to direct the build from.
I also am curious, if I do a custom build, can it be done in a manner, where Hot or Cold Smoking may be possible ?
Any and all helpful information is Greatly appreciated. In the event, i succeed at building it, I'll share the outcome 🙏
