Did a little batch of DillPickle Jerky today. Used a basic recipe and just added 2 tablespoons of dill pickle hot sauce to it.
Just came out of the dehydrator. Took a lot longer then expected. About 10 hours in total at 155 F.
Smells good. Tastes good so all is good lol

Basic Black Pepper Jerky Marinade
for 5lbs meat

8 oz Gluten-free Soy Sauce
2 oz Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbl Fresh coarse-ground black pepper (Tellicherry preferred)
1 Tbl Garlic powder (or 3 fresh garlic cloves, finely chopped)
1 tsp Cayenne (optional)
1 tsp (level) Cure#1
1 tsp Liquid Smoke
2 Tbl Dillpickle hot sauce

You had me at dill pickle hot sauce!

That's an interesting idea. How pronounced is the dill pickle hot sauce flavor?

Not very much. I think the garlic over powers it some so maybe thats why.
Now that it has time to cool and harden up a tad I had a big piece and yes the dill pickle taste does come through. Son came home and tried some and said it was very good.

Looks great! I may try that with some of the dill pickle hot sauce I made. mine has a strong dill pickle taste with a hit of fire right behind it.
