I had a idea for a charcoal basket to use in the Mini WSM, when building my mini I tried to KIS don't like the last S-lol.  I own the SJG and thought about building a basket and I was by chance at Willie World looking for a new Coffee pot and I saw it-
9 inches across.  I took out the charcoal grate and drilled a few bigger holes for better airflow, I put in four pounds of Kingsford could have used more if needed. Added 8 lit coals-
Took 15 mins to come to 250 pot was empty but it ran for 10 hrs at that temp! Just another option for the Mini.

Looks like not much air flow, but if it works, go for it. You can always drill more or bigger holes.

I had no problem so with air flow but it was just one time so far. The charcoal burned completely and the ash fell through the holes pretty well but with future cooks my plan is to use Stubbs! Thanks for checking out the Thread.
