Dial thermometer location.

I'm thinking about mounting this dial thermometer in my MES.
What do you think? About a third of the way down from the top?

In the door ? Threads may not be long enough , so check that before you drill .
Where ever you put it , it will tell you the temp in that spot . Just saying temps are all over in a mes .

Actually I have a 5/8" fine thread stud 1 1/2" long with jam nuts that I drilled & tapped for the 1/4" NPT. Homemade bulkhead connector.

Pay attention to where your racks are usually set so you dont have the stem hitting anything. My preference would probably be a few inches above the center rack.

I agree with sieg, around the middle will get you a good average temp.
