I have two deer in a cooler at a processor and the been there a week out his back door in my cooler. He has kept ice on them but it still worries me. Should I be worried or is this OK?

Thanks Brad

I need more info, I'm not clear what "he kept them on ice" means.

Do you know what temp the meat was kept at in his cooler?

Beer coolers or walk-in cooler?  (ie is the meat hanging or sitting in one big pile)

Has the meat been kept wet or dry?

What are the air temps in SC this week?

Skin on or off?

It was stored in my 72 qt beer cooler and the temps have been around 54  and the skin was off and quartered. Ice was thrown on top.

Here in Michigan our bow season can be very warm at times. I have personally been only letting my deer hang for 1 to 2 days then into a cooler or the fridge. I skin and quarter it then put each quarter in a heavy duty garbage bag. Every 2 days I will change the bags then at the one week mark i process all the meat. It helps to put the bags in the freezer prior to cutting.

Your fine I have done this plenty of times. I quarter, place each quarter into sent free garbage bags, and put into a very large Coleman 5 day extreme cooler. You can buy the Coleman Extremes at WalMart pretty cheep and they are awesome. I also use them to let my cooked/smoked meats rest for hours staying very hot.
