Hi everyone,

My name is John Michael. I live in DC.  I have been barbequing for years and make a mean N.C Style BBQ sauce. But to date I have never worked with a smoker.  I currently don't have a smoker but am looking to acquire a mini-weber  to use on my balcony.  I joined the site for some tips and getting the most out of the little charcoal grill

Also....sign up for Jeff's E-course.  It's great and you will learn so much from it!  http://www.smoking-meat.com/smoking-basics-ecourse

The Course is great for anyone no matter what your experience level may be!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Hey! A fellow DC resident/griller! Welcome JMike! If you come across any good butcher shops or sales in the area, let me know! I'm always looking to stock my deep freezer when a sale goes down

Welcome aboard, John Michael!  Glad you joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share info.  Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here.

Welcome John Michael! The Mini WSM is quite the little marvel. I made one last year and have been thrilled with it. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

And Hova, the best butcher shop around is Wagshal's on Mass Ave in Spring Valley. It's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but their meat is absolutely gorgeous. They also sell natural hog casings if you're into sausage making.
