Cutting door from propane tank

I was thinking about cutting the top section of the door, then welding on hinges, and finish by cutting sides and bottom.

Is this a good idea, or is it recommended to cut out the complete door first then install hinges? Thanks in advance for your thoughts,

Hi Steve. When I cut my door I made the top cut then tacked on the hinges. Then last I made the side and bottom cuts. No need to try and hold door in place when welding on hinges. It worked out really slick. Hope this helps
