I stopped by Walmart this morning to get a couple bags of pellets and noticed they had a new pellet grill from Cuisinart on display.
This new model is called the Clermont and it looks much improved over the Woodcreek.
Cooking area is increased to 1400 cu in and there are several racks so multiple things can be smoked at once. The smoker is built as a cabinet rather than as a drum or revamped propane grill. There are windows on front (that will need constant cleaning) and the hopper is increased to 40 pounds.
The heat diffuser plate underneath the grates now slides open aka Pit Boss for searing. Might be more of a gimmick but it is there if wanted or ignored if unwanted.
Another noteworthy improvement is the grill is WiFi now and not just Bluetooth. Temp settings go from 160-600 IIRC and the settings are in 10 degree increm
In my mind the biggest improvement is from a safety standpoint. The burn pot and auger are now in a separate casing that runs inside the body. The Wood Creek burn pot sits underneath the body. A grease fire waiting to happen in my opinion.
