Gypsey, speaking of what to smoke..... I thought one time you smoked some stalk bologna. I couldn't find the thread for it. Oh well....I tried one with my fatties and ABT's and after 2 1/2 hours all it did was split down the top and I got the internal temp to 155 degrees. I took it off and it had a crust on the outside from the naked rub. I cut it and took a bite.....taste like cold bologna without any smoke flavor. What do I need to do to make it taste like a fatty. Inquiry minds want to know. Thanks for your input. Paul

I didn't understand why the boys and rams were on over the vikings/Packers any way. I think we all were quite confident that the boys would spank the rams. I know I would have liked to have seen the record breaker...even if I wasn't a Packers fan! Plus the vikings/Packers games are usually always good close games.

I'm still mad that they snagged Moss. I had hoped GB was going to pick him up...tho it looks now like GB didn't really need him. But the comments by Moss and Favre about wanting to play together, and then the GM not pulling the trigger P*$$#d me off.

well as it's bologna it won't taste like a fatty. the 1 i did(3lb roll) i rolled in jeff's rub & smoked @ 200-225 for about 4-5 hrs. to me it tasted like bologna in the middle but better than just raw bologna. i can't stand bologna anyway but i was tired of seeing it in my freezer so i thought i'd try it. the inlaws liked it. p.s.-never take a pregnant woman to the grocery store lol.

O.K. Gypsy.....I thought I had done something wrong by it not taking on any smoke. I think the density of bologna keeps it from absorbing anything. I won't take up room in my smoker with that again. I like my bologna skillet fried in butter anyway,.......yum....can't beat that with mayonaise, cheese, sliced tomato. Damn I better stop before I have to get up and fix me one now,HeHeHe

I know!! Thank God the Phillies got into the playoffs yesterday or we probably would have had some suicides around here! Donovan tied the record EVER for the most qb sacks in a game...not good when you are the sackee!
