South Louisiana-Yes, it is HOT
Pork Butts went on sale week of the 4th....$0.97/#. I said to myself, "Self.....why not smoke some butts?" So I did.

Seasoned with Leblanc's Guns and Roses BarBQue seasoning, Local product made here in town....it is good.

In the smokehouse @250-265*F for 11 hours to INT of about 200*F. Smoked with Pecan and wild black cherry chunks. I like to go a little heavy with the seasoning on top once I put the butts on the grate. I rather naked pulled pork with the seasoning only, no Sauce. The extra seasoning helps when you pull the butts.

The Plate:

Served with homemade coleslaw with homemade coleslaw dressing (made with lime instead of lemon), steamed fresh corn, and fresh guacamole with corn chips (fried in avocado oil)...

Delicious! I know what I will be eating for lunch tomorrow!!!!

Thanks Sandy! We use to get great sale prices like that quarterly, but not so much anymore.....inflation I guess.

Like that plate. Nice work
Thanks SE!

Looks great! Hard to beat some good pulled pork
Thanks Jeff! I agree!

Yum. Hope you bought some for the freezer
Thanks PC! No room, or I would have backed the truck up! LOL!
Still got a lot of wild game to go through yet...

Looks good . I'm getting to where I like it like that more than on a bun .
Nice work .
Thanks Rich. Since going Keto, I don't eat much bread anymore. I did not buy the corn, Friend's wife bought it, so I ate it....one cob of corn won't break my health now after losing 46#....

Looks good from here.
The only way I can smoke that much butt is to share with the neighbors
Thanks FA!

Looks like it came out great! Wonderful job on the keto diet. I eat mostly Paleo, keeping carbs down to 75g/day, except I allow myself to have dessert on the weekends. Lost about 20 lbs when I started. Been holding well. I'm not overweight, but use the diet to help with cholesterol.

Looks great! We never get butts that cheap but I did load up a few weeks ago when it was $1.70 a pound. Planning on smoking a few for my fantasy football draft next month.
