Pork butt was on sale for 99 cents per pound...we bought some. Decided to make some country style pork ribs with the boneless part and make breakfast sausage with the rest. Ended up with 4 pounds of breakfast sausage and a pile of country style ribs, hickory smoked. Crock pot green beans, tomato pie and iced tea rounded out the meal. Simple spread...pics follow:

Looks good Eddie. I haven't done CSRs for a long time

Point for sure
Chris

Great looking plate Eric!! Love tomato pie, my wife makes it when often fresh tomatoes are available...

You might think its simple but we know what went in to that meal, we can see it, and it looks delicious.

My wife and I have decided we prefer CSR's over on the bone ribs. When done well, they can be just as tender and tasty, easier to eat and more economical. And I like ground pork in other dishes.

And what the heck is tomato pie?
Here you go, one recipe...

We Clicked for CSR and now everyone wants Tomato pie!

It looks awesome

I’m intrigued by the tomato pie ,but why use a crockpot for the green beans . I’m taking it a obviously a slow cooker recipe

I'm north of 50 now, and I haven't had tomato pie since I was a kid. Didn't care for it then. Gonna have to revisit that. I wouldn't eat a fresh tomato until I was in my teens. Now I could eat them until I bust.
