Corned beef question

Thanks Steve! I’ve always just skipped the Juniper and not really missed it ... figured as little as I’d use they’d lose flavor by the time I’d get far into the quantity you have to buy ... have heard you can try subbing Rosemary (haven’t yet tried) or bay leaf (JJ’s already has the latter in)
 
I ended up soaking them for three hours and changing the water each hour. They turned out really good. Had ruben sandwiches one night and corned beef and cabbage last night.

I use those grobbels ones often. I do a 4hr soak in ice water and change it out every hour. Works out perfectly for me for pastrami. If going for corned beef then I agree with @gmc2003
Can I soak my flat the day before, wrap it up and put it back in the fridge of course, then smoke it the next day?
 
Yes...Kept under refrigeration there is no issue...JJ
