Corn

Freezes just fine vacuum sealed. I was once told to freeze it with the husk on, that didn’t work well because the corn dried and was chewy.

The way my family has been doing it for over 50 year's is to Blanch it, drop it ice water to quickly cool. Then either strip corn from the cob or leave on cob and vacuum pack. I do find it is easier to cut the cobs in 1/2 or 1/3's before packing.

Thanks,

- Jason

By the way, Welcome to SMF from North Texas!

This is the way my grandmother taught me. Do greenbeans the same way.
