I'm smoking an approximately 9 pound brisket. It's been on for 2 hours (6:30 am) at 205-225 and is already at 140 internal temperature. Family is coming over at 4:00 pm to eat. I know I will hit a stall around 160-170. If this thing finishes well before 3:00 or 4:00, how many hours can I keep it wrapped in a cooler and still be good?

Thanks in advance

My experience is you can easily keep it in cooler wrapped in foil and a towel for 3-4 hours.

Yep, if you keep it packed in towels in the cooler it should stay warm for hours. If you are worried about safety pop a remote thermometer in it if you have one.
