I started this build for the New Year, planned a pistol and then to file for an SBR.

Aero Precision Complete Barreled Upper, 5.56, 1:8 twist, 10.5", threaded, FDE
Aero Precision Enhanced Lower, Stripped, FDE
Maxim Defense CQB Pistol Gen 6 PDW Brace for AR15 - FDE
Toolcraft Premium BCG, 5.56, Nickel Boron
BCM Gunfighter charging handle, medium latch
BCM Mod 3 pistol grip, FDE
BCM PNT trigger group
BCM LPK

Not sure I like the BCM Mod 3 grip, it's very wide and not a good fit in my hand.
Maybe I'll replace it with an Ergo, perhaps in black to even out my color contrast scheme.
Took the optic of another AR so I can test fire this weekend.
Going to mount a Vortex Spitfire 1X AR Prism Scope.
Plan on replacing the A2 birdcage with a Noveske KX3 Flaming Pig.
nce SBR'd I'll replace the Brace rear end with Maxim's regular Stock rear end.
Or maybe just buy the Maxim Defense CCS stock, but that's another $350. shipped.

Very nice, now is a great time to follow through on an sbr. One never knows where the current administration is headed with the brace thing...

Turn around times are really good on form 1's now. I'm seeing daily reports of 2 week turn around on sbr and suppressors.

Lookin good!

This going to be a pig hunter or a paper puncher or other?

Also I think the eForms Form1 are returning in less than 150 days for you to do your sbr. Also eForms Form 4 is now back as of last Dec. First time since 2014!!!!

General use personal defense weapon.
Definitely no .223/5.56 for piggies, them is mean SOB's and I reserve 7.62x39 and .308 for them.

Ah I see.
I earhole pigs and if i had to exterminate a bunch I'd 5.56 em. I prefer to rock my 300BLK for pigs though since I have it super quiet :D

I have a 308 that needs to be put to hunting use. Same with a 6.5. I have to do another load work up for the 6.5 though. I prefer to hunt lead free for a number of reasons and I finally got my hands on a lead free 6.5 bullet I want to rock and can go long ranges with... even though I don't ever fire at long ranges. I just like having options... like being able to hunt in a lead free area of the US if I ever need too hahahaha options :)

Nice build I think my next is going to be a 6.8 but in carbine top it with an ATN X-Sight I have had for a while and never opened. Then add a suppressor for depredation duty

Saiga is really nice and probably the best application of the Kalashnikov spray and pray design.
I prefer Mossberg pump with thumb safety for this lefty shooter.
Spray-n-Pray, whats that?

Mossberg? I has that too, with three barrels for all occasions.
Love it with the oversized Vang Comp safety.

Nice yeah I like the fatty Ergo's myself. This bad b*tch has one.View attachment 524338tch has the regular Ergo.
I love me a Savage rifle. They are so easy to work on. If it doesn't involve metal work/lathe then I can do the work on a Savage. I LOVE that aspect. That and all of mine have always been very accurate and good to go other than minor things you run into with rifles but again I fix those myself and without any crazy effort :)

Savage makes great rifles.
My favored deer rifle is my Savage 16 FCSS Weather Warrior .308.
Never missed a shot with it yet.
And my Savage 93 .22mag is a laser beam.

Nice!!!!
Yeah I'm a huge Savage fan.

When the 300 Blackout went SAAMI and got big in 2011'ish you couldn't find bolt action guns in that caliber so I bought a cheap savage Axis 223 and a 300BLk precision barrel a small barrel shop produced and swapped the barrels myself to have a 300BLK bolt action when there were like no options and the few out there were not readily available.
It's accurate as hell!!!

I'd buy a Savage Axis II (has adjustable trigger) for cheap when they go on sale during holiday sales and spend the rebate money on a bench barrel or upgraded barrel and swap anytime for a great shooting rifle! With the synthetic stocks you can easily bed em or swap em for a better at any point later.
So much you can do with a Savage rifle and honestly lots of times you don't need to do anything out of the box if you know what you are buying :)
