Compare electric smokers

Hi. I am a first time electric smoker seeker and am leaning to MES, but have recently seen a new Guide Gear Smoker and wondering if anyone might have experience with the latter and which one might be my best first time buy? I have been looking for the right one for over a year and can't make up my mind. Wisdom is appreciated!

I have a MES 40 and use a AMNPS and love it. Get the first generation if you can.
