Here's the start to my first fridge. I gutted the inside, built a framework from 1in angle iron, insulated with rock wool, lined inside with 14 gauge steel. I put a wall in the center so I can do 2 different cooks at once.
This is how it looks so far.

I got 2 5000w heating element kits from sausage maker. Got 2 controllers from auberins to run them. I'm thinking about using the smoke generator from smoke daddy or build an external box to put chips in.

I got hooked up with a butcher and I'll do all his hams and bacons in it.

If I quit screwing around I might be able to fire it up by next week at this time.

Me too. I've put a ton of money in this thing in a very short period. Would have been nice to have more notice that I had to start building. My buddies smoke guy said he wanted out so I need this thing done ASAP.

On the positive side I don't think I could buy one this size for the money I'll have in it

Very similar to mine wished I would have thought about separating mine I too use electric so didn’t replace the insulation. I use a amazn tube smoker and use floor heating registers in the side for vents mmm bacon.

What did you use for elements? This one is about 20cuft per side. The 5k elements might be a little big but I figured better to big than to small.

I should get a lot of use out of this. Other than ham and bacon I have a wedding to cook for this summer and come deer season I should get pretty busy.

Getting closer. Still have to insulate and line the doors, wire it up and build some racks.

Almost done. Fired up one side yesterday. Gotta plumb the chimneys through the wall tomorrow and and wire up the left side
