Coming to Murphy for vacation

All right I'm from Michigan but will be vacationing in Murphy this year we have been from Asheville to Tennessee on the Blue Ridge parkway in the past and will most likely hit the parkway again and have been to Chimney rock. Looking for other great options mainly outdoor activities. Thanks for any help in advance I'm sure we will have fun one way or the other!:biggrin:

couple years late, but if you're in that area again definitely hit up Joyce Kilmer National Forest. i grew up in murphy but now live in Harrisburg, NC which is basically charlotte.
