6" accumulation by 10am....and coming down heavy now. Supposed to snow all day then clear out. low down to 11*F tonight. Historic for south Louisiana.

I walked outside to air the dog out and heard kids laughing while playing in the snow...reminds me of my childhood.
Might wanna pull the plug on that lower unit just in case there is some water in there. a quart of of lower unit oil is wayy cheaper than a cracked housing! Its a must up here in yankeeville!

Adams Center, where former member Pops family meat market was located, has received 4 feet of snow in less than 24 hours, and it is still snowing!

I have to drive through Adams Center on my way to work at Fort Drum...

If it keeps up, I might get another day off!

If you have hay, pack some bales around any exterior faucets you can't shut off and drain...

If your insulation isn't the best, let your water taps drip....

Stay warm

Yes winters are no fun anymore at my age. -32*C with windshield temps at -38*C to -50*C. Brrrrr. Yah sure need those gloves.
Been there, done that....I don't care for it much anymore either. Great for making ice for fishermen though....

Now saying it might get down to 6*F for the low tonight....BRRRR!!!!
Man with the weather you are getting you might as well live in the mountains.....it was 6 degrees this morning when I went to work.... will be 3 degrees tonight......

PS, I don't miss the -20s minus temps in AK or ND at all...... But what I will say after -5 degrees it all feels the same, its just frost bite happens faster...... I have been in a true -51 degrees with a wind chill of -64 degrees and that is the definition of SUCK!

I agree . To many days spent out in it . Have to get your mind right , and eat something your body will work to burn off . Drive in with just enough heat to keep the windows clear , and don't dress all the way until you get there .
Working out of a snorkel or up on a scaffold , need some foam or drywall to stand on .
It was so cold one time I couldn't catch my breath . So I put a 3m dust mask on . Didn't realize the condensation from breathing was collecting on my face and forehead and freezing . Until I tried to take it off and it was frozen to my face .
Still hurts when I go out in this weather .

Summer home is 30 miles from Grand Forks. Winters in Florida are da bomb.
