That Cachaca is available at my local ABC store, I'll have to give it a try.

I noticed in your signature the Amazon link suggestion. Is that just the insert link thing or is there something other specifically that one should do? I will definitely do that, this is a well built site.
I was just getting ready to make another. I going to use real sugar just to see the difference this time. Click that three line in upper left corner and than click on amazon. I have the link copied in a shortcut on my desktop.

can't get past the tomato juice.
Same here . Had a buddy that made a " Bloody bull " . Used Beefamato as the base . I don't think they make that anymore , but I've had them with tomato juice mixed with beef broth .

Wife and I stopped by for a bourbon tasting...

Two on the left are for the wife, bit on the sweet side. Tasted 10 in total, so tried picking our favorites ( or mine ). The center bottle was bottle your own. After we left we realized we forgot a bottle of whiskey specially bottled for this year's 84th annual Sturgis rally, only 288 bottles.

I bet they weren't giving those away...🤣
That is true! But I'd spend it eventually, just something new to us. They had a few bottles of a limited edition left but no samples... it was $185 for a bottle. That just makes me curious!

Interesting, I dont have the three lines, even if I drop my wall of ad and tracker blockers. But I did find that I have an Amazon button right below the site logo. Plopped that as bookmark for the future.

I'm another who doesn't drink alcohol. My last drop of liquor was in the early 80s. Long story short. You know it's time to quit when you pi$$ off an entire bar. Especially one you work at. So I guess if I were going to have a cocktail it would have to be a Shirley Temple or a Roy Rodgers.

Drinks are liquid art that can appeal to the senses (visuals, aroma, taste, texture, development, memory, place, etc.) just as much as a chewable, plated dish can. Sometimes, the liquor, neat, gets it done on its own; other times, the booze is just there in the cocktail so people can rationalize actually paying for the artwork they consume.

I love playing around with things like smoked maple syrup, fruit shrubs, bubbles, brines, "teas," garnishes, even serving ware, just to see what I can make that *fits* together (boozy or not). Of course, I also love sitting back and savoring the results of someone else's "playing around" with beverage ingredients/process, too...
