close call last month storm with pic

well i got off work at 3pm as the thunder rumbled from a distant storm that was approaching from the west. as i headed toward it to go to the store to buy a new ruger p-95 9mm pistol



i seen some clouds that made me a lil nervous. i stopped and seen dust swirrling up in the air in front of me in a gravel parking lot. so i backed up and went back south under sunshine to do some planning. as i got a few miles back i took this.



this storm later went through clinton and danville illinois with severe rating and tornado warnings. is it me or is that a funnel cloud?



this storm laid some major rain down. after 15 min i procceded under sunny skies to the store to get my pistol. took this of this rain filled ditch.



after the gun shop i went to walmart and then drove home through another severe storm for about an hour.

Yikes storms are dangerous. 4th of July some poor 28 year old guy and his family got struck by lightening. He is dead and wife still un conscience SP?. Looked like a funnel to me.

Gives me the chills to look at those pics...I've been way to close to one too many tornados.

Lots of that activity in our general area lately, too...even today.

Gotta keep our heads up and eyes peeled...it's that time of year.

Glad you were paying attention BGC...I've had 'em sneak up on me in heavy rain.

The trees are obscureing the base of it or I would call that a tornado. Definatley a funnel. Keep your helmut on and your head down.

just picked it up today. i put it on lay away the storm day. going to shoot it now. have 1000 rounds of 9mm sitting on the shelf.

Good luck with the 9, Ruger makes some nice units. I have a hard time finding 9mm ammo up here.

ya here too. just starting to see it in stores again a lil more frequently. but if you dont get there soon after they stick it on the shelf its gone again. gun shops have it now but they have raised prices $4-5 a box. heck with them. wal mart is still cheaper so thats where i get it.

and i like the ruger. its pretty darn smooth and almost right on target right out of box. easy to break down and light weight. shot 45 rounds flawlessly without a hitch. came with 2 15rd mags and speedloader and hardcase.

Had a few pistols before I found one that shoots great in my hands. Settled on a Springfield xd compact in 9mm.

ive seen them in mags and have heard a few talking about them. look like a nice pistol.

As long as you guys are talkin guns, here's a couple of my Ruger's with G View. lol

The top one is a .454 casull and the bottom one is a .44 mag.
