Chimney Question

  1. What is the purpose for running your chimney past the inside of smoker? I have seen them 6 inches in smoker and almost to the bottom. What is the purpose?
  2. To keep heat/smoke at meat and or grate level before it exhausts.

  4. So if I run 2 chimneys. 1 15inches long and the other 30 inches. Depending on which one I use would depend on heat level?
  5. Dave I believe I have a plenum styl alreade in progress do to the fact I only have a 2 inch gap for heat and smoke to travel which I have metal blocking this area which would be considered a hot plate. I will send picture.

    So can you do both systems on one unit plenum and chimney lengths
