Chimney Mod

I was tired of having small pieces of lump fall through the grate on my chimney.

I cut out a circle of expanded metal a little larger in diameter than my chimney. Then cut it from the center out to the edge so that you can form a cone shape.



Take the grate out of your chimney and form the expanded metal to the shape of your chimney grate and use wire or spare pieces of the expanded metal to attach it to your grate.



Put your grate back into the chimney. Sure is nice not having half of your lump falling through.
