I busted out my new 18.5 inch WSM this weekend for the first time. I just did some chicken thighs on it to get a feel for things. The temps caused me some grief early but I got them ironed out toward the end. I am going too give her a run again next weekend to try and get all the kinks ironed out. Here is a link to a few pics from the smoke on my Tumblr.

Buy a welding blanket and some hand clamps - when the weather is cold and windy wrap the WSM with the welding blanket and use the hand clamps to secure it. I run my 22.5" WSM in temps as lows as 20° and windy with little to no problems with that set up.
