Every time I see it's zero people in chat. Couple times I was there I agree with others... hard to have a conversation as there were too many different conversations going on at same time

I’ve never been in this one. Another forum I moderated years ago had a chat feature that was fairly active for a brief time. We organized a specific time and posted as a “focused chat night” kind of thing. It eventually died out and became the same few folks every week.

A lot of people are busy, and I think many arent interested in seemingly random chit chat. But some are.

One of the real benefits of these forums is they’re asynchronous. People can pop by at their convenience and participate in the discussions that interest them.

It seems chat faded out about the same time Zippy left.

I may jump on in there soon, make a showing and sign some autographs.

Banjo man out.
I still have your autograph from a year or so ago.

and it's not even misspelled.

Every now and then, Brian will post a designated chat time and I sometimes drop in for a few.

I cut my internet teeth, as it were, in a local AOL chatroom years ago, where we actually met in person as a group a couple times a week (how I met my wife, actually).

I can follow along with the multiple conversations just fine and filter out the ones I'm part of to respond, but even now, I'm mostly burnt out on the chatroom scene.
