Bought this in 2004 with what I thought was a life time warranty and book says so on some of the parts. But Charbroil says no it is a limited life time warranty and would not replace any more parts.??? Really. This is a gasser but I guess it will be retired and all grilling will now go to the 22" Weber.

Still have your car from 2004? Your refrigerator? Things just don't live forever. Sure she will be missed, but that Weber isn't a bad rebound relationship to start.

You and me both Warren. I am looking forward to ending my relationship with propane. It can be handy for something quick but I just prefer the taste of charcoal cooked food. Plus, I know how much fuel I have before I start my cook. No more running out.

Halfsmoked I would say that is poor CS. They probably don’t have the parts to replace. I have to many things to list working fine from before 04 but good reason to get something new. Smoke On!

I had my gas grill die this year as well, probably same age as yours. Add that with my LP smoker that died, I now have 3 propane tanks (2 are 1/2 full and 1 empty) that I don’t have anything to use them on.
I have a Lodge Sportsman grill and my OKJ Highland now.
With them both dying this year, I look at it as a blessing in disguise.

RIP. My old Jenn Air is still kicking but she is showing her age too despite being lifetime warranty too. Basically the main parts that need replaced are the burners every few years and thankfully they still will replace them even though the shipping is a total ripoff ($40). Valves need lube now and then. The SS looks pretty much brand new though. Replaced one of the burners with a infrared sear burner and I make some really good stuff with it. Not ready to move away from gas yet. Too fast and easy. Actually thinking a grill grate or 2 lately. We never have been a real burger family but we are this year and flameups are a bit much.
