Just got this char broil cb600x  it was on sell 100.00. dont know if I got a deal or not.  So Im asking if anyone has any info on this smoker...good or bad or mods to help... thank you for your time and any info you send my way.  CW

If it was mine I would fire it up without anything in it and play around and get to know it a bit and see how it acts. It's always good to get to know your smoker before you risk losing any money by putting meat in it. 

Like Stan said, post some pics of it and after you burn it for a bit and have any questions throw them at us. I use propane so I am always interested in learning more about it.

Yes I have one and I have been very happy with the smoker and have made a few modifications to the unit which has IMO enhanced the capabilities of the smoker. Again in my opinion for 100 dollars you have a very good unit.

did it hold the temp...i read it wont keep the heat at 200+
