Hi every one I've been smoking beef jerky all summer which has been great but still looking for a peppered one with some zip to it any help?

You want heat, add cracked black pepper before it goes in. If thats not enough you can add some tobasco into your brine/cure.

Mine is simple

2 cups of soy

1 cup of water

1 tbsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of Cure #1 per 5lbs

1 tbsp red pepper flakes

Soak 2 days, smoke for an hour with no heat. Dehydrate to finish
