I remember the first one I did. Did the corn meal thing and when went to slide in oven it all slid together, bottom stuck and top slide down. Boy that was a messed up pizza. Now its paper than remove way.
I bet that would turn an all meat (or whatever kind) of pizza into an oh s--t pizza pretty quick!

Same was happening to use, we then reached in and slid out the 500 deg stone and built on the stone, even with long BBQ gloves the heat was wicked. I will have to try the parchment/foil method next. Do you cook it the entire time on the paper/foil? When my wood oven gets going the pies are done in under 5 minutes.

Yes, works great with parchment. When you get a roll in the kitchen, you will be surprised how many times you reach for it. Also great for cookies.

We recently discovered you can get parchment cupcake papers. So much better than regular paper. Cake, muffins and eggs do not stick to the parchment.

Just used the iron to do a store bought pizza. Preheated the iron to the desired temp, 400*, for 30 minutes. Ran pizza for 20 minutes and it can out great. Now I'll re-season it in the AM with some grapeseed oil and it will be good to go.
