Looking at getiing the camp chef xxl pellet smoker, wondering if anyone is using one or has any experiences with them. thanks in advance

So sorry gsp1 -- but I was searching the site for answer to the exact same question. I purchased the Woodwind with Sear Box after giving my Traeger Li'l Tex to a relative. I've enjoyed it -- though the build quality isn't what you'd call "heavy duty". Am looking for something with larger capacity for a neighborhood fall event and was hoping to find a review here. Was intrigued by the Pit Boss verticals -- but the reviews seem evenly split between haters (lots of issues with the internal temp probe it seems) and lovers (who either haven't had the temp probe problem or have learned not to use cheap pellets full of dust.) Seems a lot of the issues with the erL code (low temp) on the Pit Boss are actually clogged augurs that aren't feeding. Sorry to jump off on Pit Boss when we're trying to learn about the XXL...

I ended up buying the camp chef vertical and have been very happy with it so far, holds temp pretty good, everything has had a nice smoke ring and no issues so far

Thanks so much for the reply gsp1. (a quick guess -- "GSP" is "Greenville/Spartanburg airport." You wouldn't be near me in Asheville would you? I have posted a direct inquiry to Jeff on the XXL -- but I'm going with it unless I hear something bad. Your response is much appreciated!

Actually GSP stands for German Shorthaired Pointer, we raise and train them
