Stopped into BJ's wholesale club today and eye of round have dropped $0.50 per pound from 2 weeks ago. I also think BJ's is doing their yearly promotional anybody welcome member or not unit 11/2/18 (call to verify)

Eye of rounds for $2.89 a pound are worth the membership alone then you have Wellsley Farms Ex-sharp cheddar for $4.99 for a 32 ounce block. This make great fodder for cold smoking.

I tend to use these for Roast Beef Sammies. I inject with a seasoned beef broth, and put one of my favorite rubs on the outside and let it chill in the fridge overnight. Smoke at 225 until it hits an internal of around 125. I'll let it cool down and rest in the fridge overnight. Next day, slice super thin. This makes makes awesome roast beef sandwiches. It also makes for excellent Jerky.
