New member and I just completed my first smoked snack sticks. I used the cabelas premix seasoning and they turned out pretty good I must say, they taste more along the lines of pepperoni. Nothing wrong with that but next time I make some I will try another recipe. The question I have is what spice gives it that "pepperoni" taste. Is it fennel or anise? Would like to try my next batch more spicy and problably push a little more smoke. Any recipes would be appreciated. Thanks
