It’s been a while since my last post. Still grillin’ on the Kettle just not posting . It has been a while since I last fired up the WSM so here I go.

Got a 9lb boneless pork butt rubbed down with some Memphis Dust. Later I’ll be throwing on a pan of Dutches Baked Beans.

I used my new little Weber chimney to get the WSM going... and I’m a fan of that little thing. Gonna use oak and mesquite for the wood. I’ll be going for temps between 275 and 290. I got a really late start due to some rain and me just not being prepared.

Got the butt on about noon and it went until about 1:00 am before it hit 205*.
It turned out to be a gorgeous day but I did have to step inside for a bit... to watch some baseball and rehydrate myself. Ya I know alcohol isn’t good for that but whatever.

Was a great day, the Indians won and the bark on my butt came out the best I’ve had and I did wrap it. Was torn on the wrapping or not when I saw the bark, but I chose to wrap it try to hurry things along... I was running low on beer (lol).

No plated shots cause it was late and I already brushed my teeth. Thanks for looking!

That pulled shot tells it all . Fantastic . Beans look good too .
Never saw Fat Tire in a can , but it's a favorite . Just slightly edged out by 1554 . Also I like the vacuum hose on the probe .

Was almost 90 here the other day . Went to the store picked up a 30 pack . The gal at the register said " That wont keep you hydrated "
Me " Save that comment for your husband "
Her " I'm not married "
Me " No kidding "

Lol, vacuum hose on the probe. That’s Weber’s fine way of being able to tell what probe is in what. Cause ya know it’s color coded (seriously) I think that was the green one. The pit probe is red... again, until you use it once. Sounds like a good idea...

It was near 90 here as well. Got the Fat Tire in a can so I can try out my new can cooler from Wally World. The one that’s supposed to be like the Yeti Colster just a lot cheaper. Seemed to be pretty good. But as you can see, I stayed inside for a bit. My beer might’ve been cold but I sure wasn’t. Had to head in for a bit.

Thanks everyone!!!
Making the carousel is a ln awesome welcome back!!

Nice. Lived there for 3 years from 14-17 while I was stationed there. Actually in mentor but we made it to a lot of their games.
