Towards the end of last summer the base broke on my XL BGE. Warranty covered the replacement, as well as the firebox I broke in 08. October I noticed the fire ring was cracked....and the replacement firebox had a crack in it. Dealer replaced both. Was cooking some thinly sliced flank for tacos. Dome temperature was in the 500-550* range. And heard it again....that sickening sound. Pulled it apart today and found...
Beginning to wonder if Big Green Egg has developed a quality problem....
