ok so im building a double barrel smoker. and i have pretty much got most of it figured out but i what it to be a real looker when its done

somethinig cool like a high gloss blue

i found high temp primer and a dull high temp paint but i what to make it stand out

but i what to make sure that is i put the time in to paint it real nice, that its not going to burn off

my cooking chamber shouldnt get above 400 degrees, but the fire chamber, could be anything

so whats a good paint that i can prime ,paint and gloss that wont burn off

The other suggestion I will make is, put your paint on thin, if you go real heavy with the paint it will want to crack as the tank expands and contracts with the heat cycles the chamber will see.

Make sure to remove any paint that is on the barrels before you paint. If you don't it won't matter what the temperature rating is on the paint you use. The paint underneath will burn off thus burning off your expensive high heat paint.

how cool is this just come back from picking up the first set of parts for my wonderful smoker .im like a 2 yr old at christmas ready to pop

Be ready to spend 2 times the paint time on prep . Look at header paint. It's all in the prep! Can't say it enough triple check your prep . Oil from a thumb print or drip from sweat can jack up a great paint job before its even started.
