For the last few years we've had a serious problem with stink bugs and lady bug. I've learned to use the shop-vac to clean my Char-Griller off-set before each use. And NO, smoked stinkbugs do not taste like chicken. Now that I've added my Pit Boss 820, thought I'd get a head start before the bug show up. That slotted grill plate under the hopper box covering all the electronic ain't going to stop'em. What you use, 1/8" hardware cloth over AL. screen?

Short of vacuum sealing your smoker I don't know if you can keep them out. Seals intact, gaps checked and plugged, dang things still find a way in my house thru kitchen door. My grill and smoker I just start a fire and open them up to allow an escape.

Pain in the a-- for sure if you learn how to stop them let us all know. They also chew holes in my tomatoes.
