Looks like it would do the job. Brinkmann is a fairly well respected name in the business. It dosen't need to do much more than hold your ribs in the vertical so why spend more?

Monte's right - it is what it is. Should not be a problem with your Char Griller but I just went and measured my ECB and it won't fit. I did get the smaller weber model. Come to think of it, it was probably just about the same price, maybe a dollar or so more.

I like the one from horizon smokers, its much more heavy duty and quite a bit wider and taller than the brinkman and weber units I was compairing to it, $29 locally as opposed to $12 for the brinkman and $30 for the weber but the weber is stainless.

Its crap. I have mine boxed up to return to the store. It is cheap made and very flimsy. It MIGHT hold St Louis style ribs if they are thin enough, but we only cook baby backs around here, and most baby backs are too thick to fit in the rack. There is only about an inch and a half space between each rack. I cut my baby back racks in half, and the thin half fits easy, but the thicker half wont fit.

Ive seen a rack made of thicker stainless steel wire the looked like it has a larger space between the racks, so i will be keeping an eye out for one.

I have one. It is light duty for sure but works fine for spares. It sucks if you are into BB. I like it because it folds up.
Would I buy another one? Probably not.

I have one and used it many times. Not the most expensive but it does the job. When you look at it my impression is the racks are like coat hanger material. They clip into the base which has holes to mount the racks.

Yea, i forgot to mention. You can remove half the racks and fit 3 halves onto it, but at that point, i can just fit 3 halves in the space the rack itself would take.

I use a v-shaped roasting rack for my roasts or turkeys in the oven and then turn it upside down for a rib rack. Cheaper and easier to find than a specialized rib rack, 2 birds with one stone.

Well there you go you have everyone here just about telling you how good they are. I don't need one so I don't have one.

On your ECB ~ roll your ribs and tie them with some rub soaked twine . works like a champ . That way you can cook several at the same time with no problems .

thanks for all the input....i am currently smoking a test rack on it now.

I have one and it's fine.  They're cheap so you're not throwing away much money, but they're cheap and flimsy.  They're perfect for the baby backs I just cooked yesterday, and they fit great on the shelf in a rectagular smoker, not so good in a Weber round-top.  You don't have to use all 6 racks if your ribs are bigger, but for bigger ribs you should get a sturdier rack anyhow.
