Ok I started the break in, today it's a 8lb chuck roast, a big ole pot of Dutch's wicked beans, and about 6lbs of sausage. It did really good. Looking forward till tomorrow, 6 racks of baby backs......No cutting them any more, just lay them in the smoker whole. I have a question.. has any one used a crock pot to reheat. I'm thinking of putting the roast in a crockpot first thing in the morning, to reheat it. I figure the ribs will take arout 5 hours. So if I put the roast in the crockpot about 10.00 am. I should be ok, and I will still have all of the juice in the crock pot. But I'm not sure if it'll reheat it ok. HELP?

Looks great! Don't you just love a bigger smoker? Those beans look super I could go for some rigt about now -emmmmmmmmm!

Can't help you with the crock pot. I'd just wrap it up tight in foil or plastic wrap and put it in the over at about 200 till it's hot.

Everything looks real good... I could eat about half of them beans right now, they look goooood.
I have cooked a few pork butts in a crock pot and they were real good, so I would think that it would work for you reheating.. Having the juice is a must IMO for a reheat in a crock pot.
I always cooked my ribs whole before coming here and they always came out great... I like the large hunks of meat on the part you cut off, always cooked first so you could yank it off for a taste..
Don't look for a lot of pull back on the bone if you keep them whole, I never got much if any until I cut them.

Crock pots work really good in reheating meats bud, add alittle water and the juice can be used for many things, like for dipping the meat in or gravies and such, just use the crock for reheating and not cooking it more as it could change the outcome of the meat.

it all looks good tho, tell us more on those beans,
