Hey folks....brand new to the wonderful world of smoking.  My name is Bill and my wife Nancy and I live about 45 minutes or so west of Indianapolis, IN.  We love grilling out (CharBroil InfraRed) and have been talking about getting a smoker for some time now.  After tasting smoked turkey and ham at the family Thanksgiving in Savannah this year, we decided a smoker would be a wonderfully romantic present to give each other for Christmas!

Today is the maiden voyage of our Masterbuilt XL propane smoker with a Boston Butt bone-in already loaded and smokin'.  Followed Jeff's instructions on brining and we can hardly wait to see how it turns out.  Nancy thinks I should smoke something wonderful like a beef rib roast for Christmas dinner and I thought it best to try my wings to avoid a crash and burn (no pun intended) in front of table full of hungry family members!

Looking forward to learning from y'all and just having a great time.

Best Regards, Bill...aka Pigalicious

Rib Roasts are real easy, I smoked one for T-Day and it was awesome. I followed Bearcarvers thread and it was a breeze:
