I picked up a Boneless Turkey Breast (partial) with the intentions of brining but noticed that the label says "Containing up to 18% of a solution of Turkey broth ect ect." Is brining now out of the question? I have really been wanting some smoked Turkey breast like I used to get in TX (or at least close) but now wondering if what I bought was a waste of money. Any help would be appreciated.

You can still brine it... many do. Just watch adding salt but otherwise you'll be good!

Thanks Ryan, I have a jar of Malcomb's Bird Brine that I planned to use but it says the first ingredient is salt, would that be a concern?

Not for sure... I wouldn't think so but maybe someone else will chime in that could tell you for sure.

In my opinion no , but I don't know the salt percentage of your mix .
Half of the 18 % is in the bag anyway . They will only hold around 10% max . Usually less than that .
I use Pop's brine at 1/2 cup salt to the gallon , and soak overnight . What's in the breast will be drawn out , mix with your brine and be reabsorbed . I've brined plenty of enhanced turkeys without issue .
Edit :
Just don't add more salt after brining . I use black pepper only or a salt free rub .

Are you looking to BRINE as in salt and seasoning only or CURE and BRINE with cure #1 and added seasoning?
My salt tolerance is way below most people's taste.
Read the label on added salt in the enhanced breast.
18% added ????
Is there a lot of liquid in the cryovac package.

The Bird Brine I plan to use appears to be more about seasoning not curing, but does have salt listed as the first ingredient. The breast is frozen still but in the fridge thawing so I really cant tell how much liquid is in the package yet.
