This is a Snowball Bush, Very Appropriate Name...

Wow! Looks like you guys are getting it to Paul. When is the last time you have seen that much snow in Kansas? Normally you are dealing with the ice storms. It's a big one to be sure but dosen't come close to the Halloween storm of 91. I beleive we got about 34" in 24 hours

Here is my snp after digging it out today. It's in a very sheltered area between the 3 season house and the garage.

She knows I am going to cook something so she is just waiting it out

yes the weather bites for sure it must be the Global Warming thing again. I just love my home and it does get cold here just not that cold.

You are most welcome anytime. I have been to that place you talked about in the New Orleans airport. I used to fly into Kenner all the time. We used to visit the French Quarter and Bourbon street way too much. Went to a place called Don's Fish House or something like that. Great seafood place. Ohhh the oyster bars,,, how do I miss the oyster bars down there..

The Weatherman said that the last storm like this was 47 years ago in 1962, Sad part is I Remember That Storm, Kinda Dates Me...

We had quite a day too in Fort Worth; it snowed all day until about 7 pm, but also the winds were 45-50mph; broke both my doors at the RadioShack I manage on Camp Bowie (tore the retaining chains out and bent the brackets holding the door closers). I'll have a heck of a time with them blowing open tomorrow! We only got 5" of snow, but in FW that's a 'blizzard' to them.
The worst thing was they didn't allow us to close early, and after closing we had an hour's worth of setup to do for the day-after ad, so we didn't leave until about 8pm, long after most of the traffic got off the roads. By then it's in the low 20's and what was slushed up crap on the roads earlier now is re-frozen into a sheet of ice. I'm a 46 yr veteran of NNY winters and very experienced winter driver, and had one helluva time trying to get home safely. Had we been allowed to leave at 4 or 5 pm when there was a lot more traffic, the roads would not have been anywhere near as tretcherous as they were that late at night. I finally made it home safely but almost wiped out twice and went sideways about a dozen times; normally a 12 mi. 20 min. drive turned into an hour and 15 min. skating contest. Didn't have studded snows, would have loved to have had 'em!

I talked to my Dad yesterday and he lives in Midwest City. He said he couldn't even get out of his drive way..4' drifts ....I told him quit wining that is just normal for us in wyoming...lol....you guys really got hammered there. stay warm...Oh ya his furnace quit working also go figure

Here in Kansas City we call a broom a snow blower...

The snow was pretty deep here...the Cow Girls about get high centered when they are out playing.

Mrs. Engineer and I were inside watching a sappy christmas movie drinking hot cocoa when the cow girls started going nuts. We went to look out the window, and a couple of my neighbors were over with a gator and snow blower digging me out. I live in a good place.

awesome neighbors you got there...plus the snow gave them the excuse to play with toys...lol
