Just at quick question. My fridge build has plastic holders for the racks and was wondering if i can use black walnut to fab out new holders??? They will only be 1/2" x 2"? Its such a beautiful wood but I seem to remember someone on this site saying never use walnut. I believe they were talking about smoking but I was wondering about the interior........Pictures of my build are forthcoming......finally off the road trip that seemed would never end...As always thanx for your input........

I would think it would be fine to use walnut, and yes walnut can be used for smoking too, but it is very strong and needs to be used very lightly and best used mixed with other woods
