I researched about the best wireless meat thermometer for the past few days because I need one for cooking meat more accurately, especially when grilling, smoking, roasting, or using the oven. I read reviews on Amazon, BBQ forums, and different kitchen product review sites, and many people are recommending these two as good options:

Wireless Meat Thermometer

However, I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs and need your expert advice. I usually cook chicken, beef, steak, turkey, and sometimes BBQ at home. I need something that gives accurate temperature readings, has good wireless range, is easy to use, and works well with an app or receiver. I also want a thermometer that is reliable for long cooking sessions and helps me avoid overcooking or undercooking the meat.

So which wireless meat thermometer should I buy? Any recommendation will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Will let others chime in as I gave up on remotes a long time ago and use a instant read. That said, a remote is great when you are starting out and learning. Cliff notes: smoking meat takes a _LOT_ longer than you are thinking. IE Pork butt @275F takes around 15hrs in the MES. For some reason when I started thought 4-5hrs :emoji_laughing:

This guys gets used practically daily. I use for all sorts of things too, brewing beer, candy at Christmas, etc. I gave friends and family into cooking with one as Xmas gifts.

I own two Twin TempSpike Plus(TP972) units for almost 2 years now and zero issues with either. Not a big fan of using the phone for controlling bluetooth devices but in this case the app is pretty straightforward. The range for me hasn't been an issue as I'm not in a huge house or on a giant piece of property.

I believe @chopsaw has the TempSpike XR which is the 1000ft range model and can weigh in on that model.

Lots of folks here have the Thermoworks RFX model(s) and seem to like them a lot but they cost considerably more.

I will give you this advice: having a wired model around as a back up is a good idea just in case something happens like running out of charge on your wireless unit.

I have used signals with no problems

Mines a 970 600 ft range . If I ever get 600 feet from a running grill or smoker ,,,, slap me .
Love the Temp spike No issues in the 3 years or so I've had it .

Threw something on the smoker in AM and got into my chores which lead me to Lowe's or Menards I forget. I get a little buzz on it expecting it to be a text my family to bring back milk or something but it was the Auber app updating me on a temp cycle change. Blew my mind.

Are we sure the OP isn't a bot?
If it's not then we did someone a favor.

But the likelihood is that probably it is a bot. Take a look at "Members Online" stat at any given moment it's usually just a few members and thousands of guests at any given moment which is highly unlikely.

Don't you think a guy in Pakistan just so happened to join up to ask this question :emoji_laughing:

I assume that's an....assumption......as location is nowhere to be found.

That post was edited by staff to remove the links just now.
Staff can see more things so no it's not an assumption or at least the Person's IP Address was Pakistan

Might be time to start filtering this crap a little better.
The system and staff usually catch most of the spam but once in awhile they do get past us

Of course they can. Didn't see your staff level.

On other forums, they will sometimes have the member's "flag" under their username. VPN's can negate that but it's there FWIW.
